For violations warned one residence about excessive garbage in trailer park. Stated would clean up that day, kids mess?
April 25th Spoke w/ St Hwy 28 residence; As stated before they said they would have one- 50′ trailer removed by May 31. Progress is being made in emptying trailer, have visually seen difference and smaller trailer being loaded and hauled away. Residence is making attempt at compliance…..Trailer park residence from Apr 8th has cleaned up debris, only toys now.
April 25 12:15p Attempted contact w/ residence Lee Dr. No answer will try again
April 27th Stopped at Lake Shore drive warning for some questionable objects, left note to call. Residence called back and stated they would remove some of the “covered” objects, again blue tarp
April 27th Stopped at residence on Lee drive, gave verbal warning to clean up debris and damaged car port canvas garage. Stated that they would remove debris.
May 9 Spoke with residence on Maple drive on concerns of debris. Owner said he is always trying to “improve” his properties. My observatiöns over past few years has seen considerable difference in status of property. He said he would be removing more debris in next few weeks.
May 12 Spoke w/ GLC chair V. Slater Set UP appointment. May 16
May 16, Met w/ GLC Chairs on concerns in community, will address each. (3) Most concerns are residences I am currently working with. Drove through again Lee Drive residence not home.
May 16, Spoke w/ residence an end of Cty Hwy 35 toward BOCES. Very aggravated I was there, Threatened he knew judge of Milford. Was in violation of 2 junk vehicles, plus other debris, 1 told him I was only there as a verbal warning and understood he has a job to work too. Claimed he had no time for work around the house. His mother was more reasonable and stated she would take care of my requests.
June 15t St. Hwy 28 south of Portlandville. Update: ONE trailer removed! 50 foot in length, they were in progress of removing items from 2nd trailer, to which she stated would be gone before the end of August. There are still same legal issues w/ 2 trucks on properties but is working to resolve. This residence has been willing to keep complying w my requests.
June 1st Attempted contact w/ Lee drive, No answer no call back. No contact w/ Cty Rte 35, no answer( 1 vehicle removed)
June 1O 3pm Spoke w/ residence on Maple Ave, has removed substantial amount of pile once there, said he is still working at it, needs helper, will be there this week? … will follow up.
June 1O Dorr Rd. Old case follow up, once again 2 or more junk vehicles, no answer will follow up
June 1Oth End of Cty Rte 35 BOCES end: had removed car, but still some things to be done.
June 10th Lee Drive once again no answer, no call back
June 23rd Spoke w/ St. Hwy 28 residence s. Of Portlandville, is making progress.
June 23rd Tried contact w/Dorr Rd. residence, no contact, no call back. Signed voucher.
Town of Milford Environmental Report for January 2011 to March 31, 2011
December 16th 2010- County Rte 44, Bottom of Dutch Hill Rd. Has “junk yard” at bottom of hill, spoke to son of owner of property, said his father will call, to this time no call.
Jan. 25th 2011- State Hwy. 28 south of Portlandville. Stopped at 11:45 to confirm progress, no visual progress, stated it was too cold. I informed them of 1 month deadline. We made a verbal agreement to see progress on this issue. Person has a lot to clean up at this time and a short clean up time would be unreasonable. Pics taken; no progress.
Feb 18th 2011- Received letter to my mailbox at Milford clerk’s office. Was from above Jan 25th account, called Supervisor Tom Gale to discuss issue, an extension was granted with permission from Tom. Owners of property see necessity to clean up property and are willing to do so but need time.
Feb. 18th-County Route 35, At end towards ONC BOCES center, Home with junk vehicles and debris lying around, no answer. Hard to catch at home. Will continue effort .
Feb. 24th- Stopped by residence at end of CTY. Rte. 35 in Portlandville, had three unlicensed vehicles at property, said they would remove … (update-2 vehicles removed 2/26/11)
March 14 2011-State Hwy 28 south of Portlandville, follow up on progress, some made; not visible but trailer has items removed that was there before, garbage trailer is behind blue trailer with junk being hauled out. This is a big task at hand for owners. Will monitor bi- weekly. Pics taken.
*** Due to unseasonable temps and a snow that never melted down since Nov. 2010, this quarter was difficult to have any progress or jobs in. Sorry (or short report but promise the next quarter will be much better.
